 [6:30pm] A Stroll Thru Woodman Fen
- Description:
- Join other MVOCers for a visit to the Miami Valley's newest natural wonder - the 30-acre Woodman Fen which opened to the public in July. Five Rivers MetroParks took seven years to restore this ancient wetland that dates to the last Ice Age 13,000 years ago. The fen, which was formerly used as an illegal dump now has a 1,000-foot boardwalk that winds through the wetland and is the longest in the MetroParks system. This newly opened natural area is the only one like it in Montgomery County.
